Good bye Lane Bryant. Thank you for all these years of being the primarily only place I could shop where things would actually fit me. Although I will miss my favorite sales lady, I will likely no longer fit only in your clothes. I am so excited to have the freedom to expand my shopping choices and not feel like I live on the edges of society. I know I exist but it seems the majority of stores don't know or maybe they don't care I do. Even Target used to have a much larger selection for plus size. So I bid you adieu my faithful Lane Bryant.

Yup...I am definitely ready to part ways with Lane Bryant. I've bought so much crap there over the years....I should have bought stock in the company. :)

Me too. But really its the only place I can find regular looking clothes and wide shoes. Not to mention bras in a G cup. Can't wait to try regular clothes shopping soon. I'm thinking Old Navy since its pretty inexpensive.

I haven't shopped Lane Bryant in years...not because their clothes are too big tho :D , I love the store Catherine's & I can honestly say, that I will definitely miss shopping there because I really like their clothes! Being that I haven't shopped in a regular store for years, I have no idea what's even out there! LOL! So happy for you all that are ditching Lane Bryant tho!!! Kudo's to you!!!

Good riddance. It's wonderful to go to Target, H&M, forever 21 not plus. It's also hella cheaper. Don't miss Lane Bryant, Ashley Stewart, or the Avenue. None of those clothes were even my style. Love shopping in the Jr's section and feeling young again.

I can't wait either....just pulled out a pair of white skinny jeans brand new size 18 to try on. Way too tight now but I'm curious just how fast I will be able to get into them without looking like a stuffed sausage.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
