sunnysea 1 Posted December 29, 2006 I am having LapBand Surgery on January 18th and will be taking off one week of work. I was wondering if it is hard to work when you are on such a limited diet at the begining? With little or no restriction??? I work retail and am running all day, I know that I will not be able to lift heavy things at first. Thanks, Sunnysea
shutuplena 0 Posted December 29, 2006 Congrats on your upcoming new life. Don't worry too much about the diet. You'd be surprised how you make it work. Just try and bring foods with you that won't perish if not refrigerated - like soft cheeses are good for awhile, applesauce, pudding, and even scrambled eggs if you don't mind them cold. You'll be fine and just make sure you drink a lot of Water and don't skip your meals because you might get weak. Good luck.
ReneBean 3 Posted December 29, 2006 I drank canned Protein Shakes and ate Soup from the building cafe. It will be fine. Congrats on getting your surgery date!
juliegeraci 7 Posted December 29, 2006 Take your foods with you. Stock up on plenty of Protein Drinks, yogurt, popsicles, and juices. You should be fine. I would lift more than 10 lbs at first. Be sure to ask your doctor. Good luck. Its exciting.
