2spicy4u 15 Posted June 23, 2013 Hello everyone, i just had my first dr visit with my surgeon and we went over the procedure and the risks. Now i have been a little nervous about the possible gas pains after surgery. I heard it horrible and its the main thing i am concerned about. I asked the dr if the pain meds he prescibes helps with the pain. He said it will relieve it a little and that i would need to take gax x. i really wanna know what you guys have tried that relieved your pains? and Does the pain meds actually help with gas? Arts137 1,811 Posted June 23, 2013 Had no pain, maybe a little discomfort. Walking around the ward helps a lot. No Worries! 2 2spicy4u and belladona reacted to this
SueJH 205 Posted June 23, 2013 Only had bad gas pains for a couple of hours the day after surgery. Just keep moving for it to work itself out. 1 2spicy4u reacted to this
BrittNicole 12 Posted June 23, 2013 I'm not gonna lie, gas pains for me were terrible. Every time I would take a drink of anything my chest would get so tight and I'd start freaking out but after a few minutes I'd burp and be fine. My doc let me take prilosec for gas and I walked all the time to try and get rid of it. Everyone's different though, hopefully it won't be so bad for you.
