Guest Posted June 23, 2013 I'm wondering how many ounces a typical sleeve can hold after it has matured. I am guessing that happens at the 1 year mark or so? And how much does a normal stomach hold compared?
jensjoy28 351 Posted June 23, 2013 My doc said immediately after surgery stomach has about 4 oz capacity...at a year out it is about 8 oz. A normal stomach apparently has been 32-40 oz capacity 2 mparkersmith and slimagainsoon reacted to this
NtvTxn 1,262 Posted June 23, 2013 My doctor doesn't ever want his patients eating more than a cup of food at a time. I am three years out and cannot eat a cup of food, I'm hoping it will stay as it is, from now on!!! I swear someone said a pre-op tummy is about the size of a deflated football. Does that sound right to the rest of you? 2 DonRodolfo and mparkersmith reacted to this

Guest Posted June 23, 2013 Wow crazy. I really love my smaller tummy. I could eat very large portions, and I don't think that would have ever changed without this surgery.... I am so thankful...
lsereno 2,525 Posted June 23, 2013 I'm two years out. I can eat more now than I could at one year out, but not much. I top out at 3 oz. of Protein and about half cup of veggies and starch. Lynda 2 No game and Firëfly reacted to this
