I'm 19 days post op, I can drink almost normal or i guess you can say a new normal. I can drink a 16.9 ounce bottle of Water in about 30-40 minutes.

Did the doctor give you stool softners? I had a bm at about 4 days postop but I had taking prescribed stool softners. When you do go, expect for it to really loose. The belching hasn't stopped for me, but has decreased. I have the itching, it wasn't as soon as you, it's usually a part of the healing process unless they are red ( which means you may have an allergic reaction to the surgical glue/tape

I am 8 months out and still belch like a sailor...Drives me crazy....But I was warned before surgery that either you purp a lot or you fart a lot.....I would rather burp myself...

Drinking liquid at first is difficult but as your sleeve heals...You will almost be able to drink like you used to...except not as much in one drink

The rule for BM is about every 3-4 days....A stool softener will make all the difference.....

try some warm Decaf tea. it helps to get in some fluids and is very soothing.

My rule for the itching is to "pat the itch" no scratching.

patting the itch really helps. give it a try.

Im 6 months out and I dont belch very often. im more likely to get the hiccups.

Maybe I'm advancing. I do belch, but now it is alternating with hiccups. The hiccups hurt and the belching doesn't .
