jess-band4/06 0 Posted December 29, 2006 It's been a while since I've posted...sorry. I read something today on a four hour car ride from NJ to MD that I thought everyone could appreciate. The article discussed holiday eating and how difficult it is to stay on track. I am almost 9 months post op and I' ve lost 77.5lbs. Because of that I decided to not indulge in the holiday goodies this year. It has been difficult to do, but my size 12 jeans are worth it and being able to lay on the couch with both of my kids at the same time...but I am rambling..... The article states if you eat an indulging food and it causes you to feel guilt and sadness is it really a treat to eat it. Just a thought, Happy 2007 Jessica
shutuplena 0 Posted December 29, 2006 Good for you! I can't wait til I can lay on the couch with my husband and son too. That's awesome. I wish I did as well as you over the holidays. unfortunately I didn't do great but my first fill is next week so I'll just keep trying. This is a bad time of year. That article is very true - but somehow no matter how guilty and sad we feel when we "indulge" we do it anyway, even knowing its not a "treat." Have a very happy New Year. Jachut 487 Posted December 29, 2006 That's true - it DOESNT make me feel good to overindulge in food and end up half cut from too much wine. I just feel bloated and tired and awful afterwards - so I dont do it anymore.
