SpaceDust 585 Posted June 21, 2013 My surgery was scheduled for July 24th, but some upcoming changes in my life dictated that I get on the train a little more quickly, or put it off till this fall (which would have really devastated me, since I've been mentally preparing for so long!). I love the people at NWWLS in Everett - Leigh worked to get me in on July 2nd, and I'm extremely grateful to her for putting up with my frantic calls Now the surgery is oh-so-real - I'll be starting my pre-op diet on Monday, and I'm determined to stick with it and lose 10 lbs. I've been able to get in around 60 grams of Protein and somewhere between 48 and 65 oz of liquid while I've been on the full liquids. I'm about to start soft foods, and I expect it will be a bit tougher to get my Protein initially, so I'll be sticking with at least one Protein shake a day. My pain is pretty minimal at this point - a little still in my left shoulder and an occasional nudge from a couple of my incisions. I also still tire a bit easily, but not so badly that I can't function. I could have probably done fine at work starting last Monday. I walked about 2.5 miles today.
