I haven't seen anyone mention thier january goals yet, so I decided to go ahead and start a new thread for JANUARY 2007!!!:)

I am so happy that I didn't gain over the holidays! the best i have ever hoped for was to not gain!

So here goes... For the month of january, my goal is to lose 5lbs. From 194.8 to 189.8

:)

Good luck in advance everyone!:clap2:

Yikes, man, I gotta feed more ice-cream and chocolates to friends and family, gotta get this crap outta my house!!!! But, here goes....how bout 255 by Jan 31st.

Were lambing for a week in January, plus I'm thinking about another fill (but I'm not sure if they'll give me one), so I'm not sure how that will work with my goal, but we'll start with that.

Now that I'm back on track since Christmas I'm hoping to lose 5 lbs over January....these last few are harder to shed than the first 80.

Thanks Yoda, I can't wait for it to be gone and then work on adjusting to maintenance. Did some shopping in Yorkville these past few days and couldn't believe that I was in Roots buying size small and medium.

Tee Hee, Silly Yoda, I think she meant lost 100 lbs, not be 100 lbs.

Good Luck to everyone on their goals!!!!

Oh, and I should mention....my other January goal is to lose enough weight so that my current ticker is no longer a big fat lie!!!!

(I refuse to change it up....that would be too debiliating for me!!!).....

...and don't ask, cause I'm too embarassed to even say how much I've gained over the last month!

:think

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Your so close now! It's gonna be great :) Wishing you a speedy recovery and looking forward to seeing how it goes!

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
