Today was very challenging for me. While being off work, my boyfriend and I decided to take this time to see the movie The Internship. We always get popcorn and a soda... I love movie popcorn. It was so hard to stay away from it.. I did, but it's still super hard to stay away from it. I'm proud of myself for the choices I've made and look forward to continue my success change here. I'm trying to get into the 100's by August! I WILL get there!!!!

Yay for you! I don't know about you, but I still find it really refreshing when it realise I can go to places and not partake in something and still have a great time :-D

I guess everyone's journey is different but my restriction is so effective I don't mind having a bite or 2 of something I used to eat glutinous.

You will be able to have sushi! Maybe you'll get full sooner, but sushi is healthy food.< /p>

When we go to sushi places now I get edamame Beans and miso, and sometimes I will get sashimi. I love it and don't miss the sushi rolls at all. Though I have seen places selling sushi rolls made with brown rice which I would like tot ry, I think if I did that one roll will fill me up and it still seems such a waste of valuable stomach space!

I never eat the rolls now either and I can afford the nicer pieces of sashimi now that I don't eat as much. Before with what I ate sushi was extremely expensive

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
