SerendipityHappens 1,594 Posted June 19, 2013 I had one drain and it was removed just prior to my discharge from the hospital which was two days after surgery. Getting it removed didn't hurt at all.. He just had me take a deep breath and exhale as hard as I could and the drain was out before I even knew it.

bunnybstuff 3 Posted June 19, 2013 Had it just over a week. All depends on your surgeon's protocol.
Prettynpink1982 103 Posted June 20, 2013 I had my drain for a week as well.. I could wear a bra my surgeon put the incisions in the perfect spots:) I had to empty it twice a day and record the fluid:) drains are a good thing.. It helps get rid of excess Fluid in you abdomen 1 MrsPierre reacted to this

Prettynpink1982 103 Posted June 21, 2013 No drain. Just curious@prettyinpink, how much Fluid did you have over a week's time? Each day was a little different but on average each day was between 1-2 oz. the interesting thing was the consistency/ color.. Each day it got lighter/ more clear. By the time the day came to get it taken out at the dr. Office it's was really clear and only lightly tinted red.. It felt like worm with pressure when the dr pulled it out.
