I hated them. It does have a lot of Protein but the taste was terrible. I mixed it in with unsweetened Jello to get down the protein.

I used the orange flavor and mixed it with COLD Water and Orange Crystal Light individual packets. It tastes a bit like liquid Vitamins, but it gave me a nice lift as a mid-morning or mid-afternoon snack.< /p>

I was tempted to buy some until I read a bunch of reviews saying how horrible they tasted.

I did after my surgery. New Whey shots. Horrible chilled or room temp.

I tried them early on...not the best tasting stuff! Ended up chilling them and just chugging it...too nasty to sip. Nut suggested Premier Protein from Sam's...a little more volume, but about the same price and much more palatable.

Colligenic Protein is totally unusable ...we need "whey protein isolate" not a " propitiatory blend of whey" most of these shots are a scam.

Ok so the one I originally posted was really awful tasting. Like liquid plastic koolaid.

I went to GNC & got these to try.

So are the shots just a scam?

That Isopure from GNC is all I drank pre-op. I would put flavoring (Mio, crystal light, etc..) in it to make it more enjoyable LOL Or, put it in a blender with some ice to trick yourself into thinking its a slushy

I have the New whey also, but haven't tried it. Let me know what you think :)

Yes the Isopure needs Splenda or something ;0)

After taste is kinda gross.

Feeling really tired today. :/

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
