ladylaura 77 Posted June 19, 2013 Hi all, Today and yesterday I've been having some problems. Not terrible, but never fun. I guess it's what you call "dumping" syndrome, the only thing is I haven't introduced anything new to the diet yet and I've hardly had much to "eat". In the morning, I'll have some yogurt or pudding...maybe a little bit of a Protein shake. Then, I take my meds all cut up (the same ones I took before the surgery). I have been getting nauseous after that. I'm guessing it may be better now to spread out the meds through out the day instead of all at once. But, it didn't do this last week (I had my surgery June 10th....8 days ago). Has anyone else had 'dumping' issues while on the full Fluid diet? Could I just be getting sick of the same fluids? LOL I don't know what it is...
Lisha73 97 Posted June 19, 2013 You are sleeved right? Sleevers dont have dumping syndrome.....I do have bouts where my bowel movements are non existant...but then I will have direaha....It is your body healing and adjusting to your new eating habits and what you have done to it...Take each day as it comes. 1 ladylaura reacted to this

ChristineR 128 Posted June 19, 2013 Not sure what medications you are taking but you don't want to take a Calcium with a Multivitamin. I have to take my meds 5 times a day all broken up.
ladylaura 77 Posted June 19, 2013 When did your "dumping" (hope this isn't too TMI LOL) stop? It seems like anytime I drink or eat (if Soup, pudding, etc is eating that is...) now Sleevers definitely can have dumping syndrome. LouiseC 1,031 Posted June 19, 2013 It could be lactose intolerance looking at your current diet. Try and remove the lactose for a couple of days to see if it makes a difference? This can happen post sleeve and is usually temporary. It is dumping, it is the new bodies inability to process sugars so it sends it straight back out! I have had one solid poo and the rest are watery diarrhea. They have even gone as far as testing my stool and nothing. My dr. Just said it will take time for my insides to adjust and get use to the difference in foods. Good luck...I'm trying to stay positive!
