I was sleeved on the 30th. I was on Clear Liquids the first 2 weeks but I added Protein Drink in..as per my dr.

This is my 3rd week and I am eating soft. Cottage cheese, scrambled eggs, baby food meat sticks, canned fruit and veggies, Jello, pudding, string cheese, laughing cow wedges...tonight i am trying fish and green Beans. I am slowly working up to eating a meal. I've been lucky enough that I had no problems so far.

Right this moment I'm eating a scrambled egg. I scrambled it with some milk, cheese and teeny tiny diced cubes of ham! it's delicious :D and for lunch I had 1/4 cup of refried Beans with some cheese mixed in.

what are you guys eating ? ill be a month post op tmrw ..

Sleeved May 28 here. I am supposed to be on soft foods right now - mostly it's chili, refried Beans, and (still) lots of Protein shakes (they're so convenient). Seem to do okay with bananas, but only a half at a time. I've also had egg salad, chicken salad, and some egg salad avocado smush (recipe that someone here posted). I made a scrambled egg the second day of soft foods and made the mistake of eating the entire egg - it hurt. Later, I tried lentil Soup and didn't stop at half a cup like I should have - it hurt worse than the egg. Sleevie Ray Vaughn also reminded me that Trisquits, no matter how well chewed, are not soft food by keeping me bent over in pain for the better part of an hour.

My surgeon said I could have tilapia so the other night at Applebees I did. I could only finish half of the tilapia but none of the veggies or the roasted potatoes.

We went to a Mexican restaurant before that and I had the inside of a soft taco (barbacoa) and about a spoonful of Beans and that's all I could handle. Forget the rice, I gave that to my wife.

I've been eating Greek yogurt, poached eggs, chicken, tuna, imitation crab meat, ricotta bake with sauce and cheese & my favorite is re-fried Beans with some cheese. I did try some green beans and they were great. Next I'm going to try some baked fish, shrimp and scallops. I can't wait to have some salad and tomatoes, but I'm going to wait another week for that.

I'm six weeks out on Thursday. I'm cleared for all foods. My NUT wants me to get away from Protein Shakes sooner than later. I do lots of chicken and fish. I've also had beef and buffalo (yummy!). Haven't had any real problems. It's just about Portion Control. After Protein I only eat veggies. My Snacks are cheese and deli meat. Getting about 70grams of protein a day.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
