Crohns Disease

Do any of you sleevers have Crohn's disease? If so, has it affected you good or bad after being sleeved?

That's great to know. I go to my gastroenterologist tomorrow to get his opinion on the surgery. I was diagnosed with mild Crohns 5 years ago . I only take Pentasa as far as meds. Do you find your crohns symptoms are better from losing the weight?

My symptoms are better. I have a difficult case of Crohns. It's not a mild one, unfortunately. It's really a great move to get weight off and simplify diet. Pentasa never helped me. I'm on Remicade, etc. I've had Crohns for 15 years

Thanks for the info. I am 35 years old (female) and need to lose 100 pounds to be at my ideal "normal" weight. I will speak to my gastro dr tomorrow to see what he thinks. I'm ready to do it, but so many people (non sleevers) are telling me I'm playing with fire by having crohns and doing the surgery.
