NtvTxn 1,262 Posted June 18, 2013 Just saw a commercial for the Dr. Oz show today. "The big food cover up" Something about a NY Times reporter who uncovered a 'food industry bombshell'. It says - Dr. Oz investigates why we may be addicted to salt, sugar and fat. Anyway, I am going to record it and thought there might be others out here that would be interested in watching! 2 ProudGrammy and Molly3 reacted to this
HatheryOnHerWay 603 Posted June 18, 2013 I honestly think they put chemicals in that stuff to make us addicted. It sounds conspiratory, but I think it's true! 3 FeeIsMe2, NtvTxn and Molly3 reacted to this

ASKSARAH - Sleeve 256 Posted June 18, 2013 It is absolutely not a conspiracy theory its REALITY> If they don;t hook you with salt, fat and sugar they can't sell that product to the masses, I know when I eat a Cheetos I can;t stop at one or a cookie. and when they say low fat or sugar free I get even more worried about what is in there. 1 No game reacted to this
HatheryOnHerWay 603 Posted June 18, 2013 I don't think I've ever successfully eaten less than a half-bag of chips in one go. 1 Cheer Mama reacted to this
dork 114 Posted June 18, 2013 I agree. I'm a food aholic and I believe it, just like putting nicotein etc in cigs. These big corporations are out to make money. They don't care about our health. I hate eating nutrasweet now. I've been completely off of it for 6 months and now I have to eat foods with it. It just makes you crave more sweets. I'm really trying to eat healthy, My daughter is vegan and no gmo's etc. off milk and on almond milk....less calories and more Calcium. I will watch it...but I have tried some of Dr Oz weight loss remedies with no luck. Got a cupboard full of various capsules. 1 NtvTxn reacted to this
No Day But Today 5 Posted June 18, 2013 It is all about profit! I recently read a book titled "Salt, Sugar, Fat" by Michael Moss....it was all about the way companies find ways to keep us addicted to their products and how they try to hide it. 1 NtvTxn reacted to this

Almitra Formisano Massey 4 Posted June 18, 2013 How can we blame them? We had the power to choose foods for ourselves. They market what people want. If we wanted to eat healthy, the produce isle has never left the grocery store. 2 dork and Cindigzz reacted to this

True, but so many of those products are dyed, waxed, genetically modified, or otherwise ruined in an attempt to appeal to the customer 1 dork reacted to this

If we wanted to eat healthy, the produce isle has never left the grocery store. Unless it is organic, we have NO idea what chemicals they used to grow the produce.
