This seems to have the potential for some serious consequences. But what I hear you saying is that you are frustrated and want to be thin now. I am craving a piece of toast with Peanut Butter and berries on it, but none of those items are on my approved list of foods. So I will have a Protein drink (yuck).

I took diet pills 15 years ago (remember the phen/fen craze?). I was under close doctor supervision because diet pills can increase your risk of heart attacks and malnutrition.... so I was told at least.

My gut reaction is to steer clear of diet pills. Believe it or not, there is a major benefit to being a slow loser.... less chance of saggy skin!

Take your time, enjoy the journey while you're are on it. :)

Bad idea.

Why do you define yourself as a slow loser?

What are your stats?

I think it also really depends what the goal of the diet pills is. If it's to make you feel full and eat less, well the sleeve does that for you. If it's to boost your metabolism, I think you'd be better off looking into natural supplements that can support metabolic health. Most diet pills are loaded with caffeine, so it's not great for your cardiovascular system.

I understand your frustration. I was sleeved on May 15th, have lost 20 pounds since the surgery, but have weighed the same for almost 2 weeks.

I have been good to follow my doctor's plan to a "T" and walk at least 5 days a week.

Even though this forum is full of posts about stalling weight loss, it still makes me crazy to think I am eating so little and exercising so well and the scale is not budging.

Nope. I took so many drugs to aid my weight loss over all the years that I'm DONE abusing my body. Funny, now that I'm doing it the healthy way ... It seems to be working :D

I really think that if that worked, it would be all over this forum - losing slow is not the end of the world - you're losing and keeping it off. This is supposed to be a Marathon, not a Sprint

Of course diet pils work.. If you're into yoyo dieting and abusing your body n mind. Not my cup of tea anymore. Your body/mind will become dependant on the pils nd your body/mind will resort back to square one when you stop using them.

Use the sleeve the way it's meant to used or it's not going to work. Wrap your mind around the fact that if you do ting right you will get to your goal. Learn to work the sleeve and Don't sabotage a good thing.

I know that feeling of frustration with the scale not moving. My surgeon was severely snarky at my second month appointment that I was only down 15 pounds. (Sleeved 5/16/13 and total weight loss in 2 months =55 lens). I'm supposed to lose 25 bu next check in and since I'm in a cast and wheelchair, I don't see that happening.

Hi, I’m new here. I’m currently on the liver shrinking diet. So far so good, but I have to say I haven’t found a protein shake I like. Anyone have any suggestions please? My surgery date is September 17th.

Fairlife Core are by far the best. They taste just as they are - chocolate milk. You can either get the 26 grams or the 42 grams (harder to find and more expensive). For straight protein look at Bulksuppliments.com ..they have really good whey proteins and offer auto ship plus they test for purity. No taste or smell...

Fairlife has strawberry, vanilla and of course chocolate. No more calories than other protein drinks. Stay away from Premiere, they're dealing with lawsuits due to not being honest about protein content.
