Are you looking for the BariatricPal Store? Go now!

I'm here at the Marriott being lonely.

Recommended Posts

I finally arrived at the marriott after a long flight. I'm lonely and very hungry. I called and ordered some broth and Water but the lady only brought me water then left. Does it take them awhile to bring the broth? Cannot figure out why they would bring it separate.

Btw my surgery with Dr. Garcia is tomorrow. So scared right now.

Please don't be scared. Everything will be just fine. I have read so many good things about the surgeries in Mexico . Watch a little TV and then try to sleep. It will all be over and done with before you know it. Best of luck and make sure you tell us how it went.

Aw, don't be lonesome...we're all here!

I bet you're hungry. That post-op diet is a b$%#@!

I'm kind of looking forward to a few nights in a fancy hotel. What's the view like outside your window? Do you have a balcony? Do you have a nice bath tub? If I were you, I would have a good, long soak because it will be a while before you can have another.

A nice bath, or even an evening swim in that gorgeous looking pool and then a movie on your computer might help you relax, and before you know it, it will be time to sleep and then your big day will be here!

Hi Olivia.

I'm sorry to hear that you are alone :( are there any others around getting sleeved? I would probably be a little scared too, but tomorrow will be here and done before you know it. Oh and

I would call again if the broth doesn't come soon!

View is beautiful. Bathtub is nice. Beds are excellent. Got here late so now time to look at pool. Called again about broth and just received it so I'm getting ready to eat!

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Anyone had the TORe procedure? How did it go? How much weight did you loose?

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
