KawiRoks 1 Posted June 17, 2013 Hello everyone, I have a question. I have been a probiotic user for a number of years. I use a 15 strain w/trace minerals- the 3 strain you see advertised, save your money. I was wondering if any of you could tell me that you can continue taking after, or even the two week pre op.? Enquiring minds want to know. 1 ppasjm reacted to this
Chelenka 827 Posted June 17, 2013 I started using a pro- biotic after my surgery. It helps with the Constipation issue that most of us suffer thru for the first month or two after surgery. pre-surgery weight 325; surgery date 2/28/2013; surgery weight 307; 8 weeks past-op weight 281.4; 12 weeks post-op

CCRNonherway 78 Posted June 19, 2013 How did the probiotics make you gain weight? I didn't realize this was a side effect and I may have to talk to my doctor about this tomorrow I had irritable bowel. The probiotics fixed that and that's how I gained weight. It may not be a problem for most people, but it was for me. I will say they were a lifesaver with the irritable bowel. No more diarrhea with the probiotics! It was/is wonderful.
