I was chewing gum after my Vitamin and I might of swallowed it! It has been 45 min and I am not feeling any pain. I am so looped on pain meds, I don't know what happened to the gum!

What should I do?

Well - have you had any problems with drinking Water? Are you really swollen from surgery? Do you have a VG band?

It may be that the gum will just pass on thru... I would just wait and see.

If you can drink Water and stuff, then you are probably ok.

That is one of the questions I asked my doctor if I could chew gum. He said absolutely not because if it does get stuck then it is a real mess to try and fish it out. I would suggest not chewing gum anymore. :rolleyes

THanks, I learned my lesson! However, I keep a nasty taste in my mouth from surguery because I am having really bad nose bleeds.

I thought I was the only one who swallowed their gum without knowing it!:biggrin1: I won't even try to chew gum now because all my life I have swallowed my gum without even realizing I had done it, so I don't want to take that chance! I'm surprised the doctor didn't tell me they had to remove a huge wad of gum from my stomach before they could operate!:)

Probably better off not taking any chances.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.

Hi, I’m new here. I’m currently on the liver shrinking diet. So far so good, but I have to say I haven’t found a protein shake I like. Anyone have any suggestions please? My surgery date is September 17th.

Fairlife Core are by far the best. They taste just as they are - chocolate milk. You can either get the 26 grams or the 42 grams (harder to find and more expensive). For straight protein look at Bulksuppliments.com ..they have really good whey proteins and offer auto ship plus they test for purity. No taste or smell...

Fairlife has strawberry, vanilla and of course chocolate. No more calories than other protein drinks. Stay away from Premiere, they're dealing with lawsuits due to not being honest about protein content.
