ChristineR 128 Posted June 17, 2013 Hi everyone, I'm sure this topic has been covered and re-covered but I was thinking today about carb intake. I probably get in about 15-30 g a day and I don't have any clue what my intake should or shouldn't be. I don't eat bread, potatoes, starches, etc. My carbs usually come from dairy/protein drinks and more recently the lovely little wonton wrapper used to cook from emilybites.com. How's everyone else doing in the carb dept?
LisaLoseAlotx2 147 Posted June 17, 2013 I average about 50 grams per day based on clean, healthy carbs (vegetables, Proteins, etc). I track on My Fitness Pal to be sure I don't go any higher than that. I had a past trainer tell me to keep it under 50 grams per day if you want to consistently lose weight. She also told me that a majority of that should be eaten before 2 PM so there is adequate time to burn it off
Vicki1955 11 Posted June 17, 2013 My surgeon's instructions state to aim for 9 grams or less per meal.
SerendipityHappens 1,594 Posted June 17, 2013 Today I had 60 but 38 of that was Fiber so I had 22 net carbs today.

NtvTxn 1,262 Posted June 17, 2013 I have NO idea. My physician never focused on carbs unless a patient isn't losing weight. I am so glad I don't have to keep track....no problems so far. All the carb stuff seems overwhelming!
