I'm at 9 weeks post op and dealing with the same 2 pounds up and down for the past 2 weeks. I just remind myself that it will keep going and that I wouldn't have lost the other 41 pounds otherwise. I can only hope to step on the scale and have a few pounds down like some people report.

I'm exercising, eating my Protein, low carbs, getting my Water .... it's bound to come off eventually.

Hang in there! You have still lost an awesome amount of weight :D

Gosh I'm so glad we have this website. I'm right there with ou as well. I'm 5 weeks post op and find I'm stuck at 228. I've been 228 then 229 then 228 for almost 2 weeks now. Very frustrating but wait........I just incredibly lost all this weight I'd never dream of losing before over the last 5weeks and it wasn't even an effort, so who's really "winning" now over losing weight? We ALL are......my life doesn't even remotely revolve around food other than trying to keep my Protein up. I'm not obsessing over food, not craving food and not planning my life around it. I'm the winner and not the scale! Try to remember that It's not just a numbers game in this battle, but a new life's journey. Enjoy your time and be patient.

I can't believe I'm writing this as I was just as frustrated as you about ten minutes ago until I read everyone's post. Heres the deal....when you feel frustrated at the numbers, measure yourself. I've measured 3 body parts: boobs, waist and hips. After about 3 weeks, I lost 5" overall. This past week, while my weigh plateaued for a bit, I come to find I've lost 9" overall. That's awesome...my face and neck really show the loss as well as my now baggy shorts.

I even sat on the floor this past week and was able to cross my legs comfortably. I was able to hook the ankle straps on my dress shoes without unbuttoning my pants. These are all accomplishments of our commitment . It's to change our lives forever vs. just for now. Don't think of it as sacrificing....it isn't any longer as Sacrifice, its a lifestyle change. It's defeating the enemy which is food.

I love what johnlatte said....it's full of wisdom! Good luck and remember, we're all on the scale with you, each of us defeating it together, it's not just you being alone. I'll finish my coffee, get on the scale and be pissed off again....oh well.

My theory......increase my Water. That's what I'll do this week and let's see if I find a loss.

I remember feeling this way. I'm six months out, and even now, if I let myself, I still do! Early on, every day I was afraid I would be THE ONE who the surgery didn't help. And somehow, I have kept losing, even after as long as 18 days with no loss. Every ounce adds up over time, and the long term consistency is the key to long term, sustainable weight loss. We need to understand the surgery we had and how our bodies work. First, this surgery is purely restrictive - it does not alter the way we absorb or utilize calories. Second. we are all individuals with different metabolisms, starting weights, activity levels, etc. Also, we can't forget the calories in/calories out math, or the fact that our bodies can only adjust so fast. The end result is that we will lose weight at a unique rate. I found it easier once I accepted those facts and worked the plan to the best of my ability. Now I (mostly) don't let it get to me. Just hang in there and try to look at it from a bigger picture. Good luck!

I was sleeved on 5/28/13, surgery weight was 245.4 and I am now weighing (as of this morning) 223.2.. I am so excited about that, but at the same time, my expectations were higher than the result that I am I getting. I barely eat anything, and get a liter of Water in a day, why is the weight not just falling off, I have not measured myself, but why are my clothes not loser than they are.. I feel a little bit of difference in my legs. I just want results... LOL..

I'm four weeks too and that same two pound thing was happening to me. I stopped weighing for a week, started walking a lot, and the stall broke! Six pounds. Now I'm going up and down with one pound.

Ok now that you have beat your self up enough its time to say I have had success also. It's ok to have a bad day. Just don't let that day become many.

after one week of bloating and gaining ( ?)... today the scale showed 5 lbs less. getting my period was a factor, I guess. Everyone at the office keep saying I'm getting skinny but I could not see it. Then my favorite dress did not fit me anymore... yay!

If you look at the numbers, though, it's 4 pounds a week! That's incredible! With stalls and what-not I'm averaging about 4 pounds week as well. I'm losing last in my stomach so it's making pants difficult  My back fat is slimming down, my legs are, my butt is .... but my pant size only went down 2 even with 45 pounds down.

Hi, I’m new here. I’m currently on the liver shrinking diet. So far so good, but I have to say I haven’t found a protein shake I like. Anyone have any suggestions please? My surgery date is September 17th.

Fairlife Core are by far the best. They taste just as they are - chocolate milk. You can either get the 26 grams or the 42 grams (harder to find and more expensive). For straight protein look at Bulksuppliments.com ..they have really good whey proteins and offer auto ship plus they test for purity. No taste or smell...

Fairlife has strawberry, vanilla and of course chocolate. No more calories than other protein drinks. Stay away from Premiere, they're dealing with lawsuits due to not being honest about protein content.
