I make a smoothie with activia yogurt, frozen strawberries, fresh bananas, almond milk, a handful of almonds and about 2-3 spoons of flaxseed...makes me poop within an hour or so AND it's beyond delicious!!

Lol. My friend once bought 10 lbs or so of that in bulk from a grocery store that was closing. Her husband has a terrible sweet tooth. He had to make a 10 hr drive so he put 3 lbs or so in his car to snack on along the way. Several hours into his trip and about a lb of candy later he found out what it'll do to you. Unfortunately he was just entering a long tunnel. There was no way out of that car for miles, nowhere to stop or pull over. Poor guy but lesson learned lol.

OMG! I almost sent my coffee spewing on the keyboard laughing so hard!

Poor guy!

coffee, berries, chia seeds (with lots of water) COFFEE, sugar alcohols (5 werther's originals sugar free does the trick for me) COFFEE and finally, I've been experiencing much more regularity since I started eating Quest Protein bars.. they won't fix Constipation, but they help keep you from getting that way in the first place.. I think it's the 18 grams of fiber.. GO FIBER!

I like NOW brand Better Stevia liquid. It says it is non-bitter and I really like it. You can get it in flavored as well. Another one that I have just tried recently is called Stevia Sweet & Natural liquid. I find it highly concentrated and I need way less of it than the NOW brand. I live in Canada' date=' so not sure if it is down there, but worth looking for. I love stevia and use it in everything. I use the flavored ones to sweeten my yogurt and the plain to bake with. My family cannot even tell the difference when I cut out most of the sugar in recipes! Another natural sweetener is Luo Han Guo Sweetener. I have never used it so I can not tell you how good or bad it is. I have seen it on this site:

I'll have to try that. I had some coffee the other day with some truvia in it. It was almost as nasty as the stevia in the raw.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
