Anybody find that they can eat a little more than they thought. I read about people only being able to eat 2oz-4oz and I find a can eat about a little less than a cup before I feel full. I was sleeved May 31st. I know everyone's pouch is different but please tell me it's not just me and I'm not doing anything wrong here.

I could eat more when I was on liquid and purees The minute I switched to solid regular food that stopped. I often can barely get down 1to2 oz. of Protein and only about 1/2 cup of anything with substance. Some days are different then others for me. Today I can't seem to get much of anything before I feel full and is a challenge to eat enough, but I just listen to my body and adjust what I eat. Today more Soup and Protein Shakes and tomorrow maybe meat will feel good. You're not to far out so be patient sometimes what you can eat changes overnight.

I am on the same exact boat. I feel like I've been able to eat more than what is recommended. And it worries me to think that this may not work for me because i have felt normal from the day I walked out the hospital, hardly any pain I get hungry, I already had a hard time getting enough Water in. I need serious help.

Another thing I have noticed it depends on what it is that fills me faster.

I am 4 wks out, had at least 2 oz of beef filet, 1 crab leg and half an ear of corn for dinner tonight and was not uncomfortable at all. Definitely more room in my sleeve than expected.

Sleeved Jun 3--I can usually manage 3/4 cup of Soup before feeling full. I am finding that liquids are much easier to get in now---I am able to drink rather than sip.

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.
