My doctor did not want me to have this surgery and when diet after diet failed I boldly asked, " how do you plan to help prevent me from dying from obesity?".

That's brilliant! I asked for the surgery on my first meeting with the new PCP after my old one moved to another state. She is very supportive although I wanted RNY her office came back with Band. (I believe in God's leading) she's all for me getting healthy especially after she read my very detailed 5 yrs of doctor monitored attempts. I am 4 days post OP and in very good hands between hers and my Band surgeon. Good luck with your journey prayers you get the same great care.
