GBFree82 75 Posted June 16, 2013 Has anyone tried body wraps after their vsg to tighten loose skin? It's a detox also so is it safe? How long should you wait? Do you think it would help at all to start body wraps before wls?
VSGKirk 855 Posted June 16, 2013 *Disclaimer* This is just my opinion... I think they are dangerous and a waste of your money. You can become dehydrated and broke! Don't lose site that VSG is a surgical tool to help you become more healthy. Leave these fads in the biohazard bin with your old stomach. 4 laceeb, thesmilos, AmandaRaeLeo and 1 other reacted to this
DeniseM 238 Posted June 16, 2013 All the wraps do is remove Water from the tissue in the area where they are applied, which could cause dehydration. They are expensive and temporary. It would be fine for a special occasion, but if you are looking for a long-term solution, wraps are not the way to go. The only way to truly remove loose skin is surgery- there is no cream or wrap that can permanently fix loose skin. 3 AmandaRaeLeo, Butterthebean and laceeb reacted to this
kulita 243 Posted June 16, 2013 As for Detox..... If you have already had the sleeve you should have already had detox. The process of liquid diets jump starts the detox process.
GBFree82 75 Posted June 16, 2013 I always wondered how safe they were, I've never tried one before. My hairstylist sells them and is always talking them up. I figured after wls they'd make you sick though.

AmandaRaeLeo 2,146 Posted June 16, 2013 You're better off keeping yourself well hydrated, consulting with a fitness professional for a good tightening and toning workout, and putting the money you're saving by not buying the wraps into a "nips and tuck" coffee can to be looked into down the road if the other two options don't yield the desired results (with your medical professional's blessing of course). :-)
