freshstart_25 2 Posted June 16, 2013 I am about three months post op, and I am having a hard time keeping normal food down. Even after a few bites I am rushing to bathroom to throw up. I have finally had to resort to Protein shakes and an occasionally a Protein Bar. Is there any suggestions. I am waiting to see my doc next week but I am scared that he will tell me bad news. Any suggestions
JoiaRox 430 Posted June 16, 2013 I'd recommend that you call your doctor first thing tomorrow to have the conversation - whether it's good or bad news, you need to know...and your doctor will be the best person to give advice on what to do. 2 jensjoy28 and mariamitani reacted to this
mariamitani 405 Posted June 16, 2013 I agree with the person who posted above. At three months post op you should be able to tolerate food very well. If you are taking small bites , chewing them well , eating slowly , not drinking while eating and are still throwing up you definitely need to go to the doctor. It may be that the sleeve is too narrow also known as stricture and needs to be stretched a little so you can eat normally. Good luck and I hope all goes well for you.
