Hang in there Diddi, I promise, it will be ok even if you do gain some back. Once you get your fill/fills the band will work for you. Please don't give up hope. I am curious, where are you from? I didn't see it listed in your profile. I love to see representation of us all over the world. I work in the international department of my company and literally talk/email all over the world.

Hi, Diddi! I know this sounds strange, but you might try taking a big bite of something you REALLY REALLY want, chew it up, and then spit it out. This has helped some people get past the worst of their cravings. Maybe it can help you, too?

Diddi you are doing a great job translating.

And people can I just say holy friggin restriction??? I got my 4th fill yesterday to a total of 2.0cc (1 was at 1.5 before that). Now I really know what restriction feels like. I am so darn full. I had a yogurt for Breakfast and could only finish 3/4 of it. lunch and dinner were probably a little more than 1/2 cup of food and I was stuffed after both of them.

Babygirl! You're on your FOURTH fill??? WOW!! I'm still on my first! I got 1cc on my first fill, and my second isn't until May 10. Which is really ok with me, because I've resumed losing after my first fill. I had stalled for a couple of weeks... The April challenge has helped, too, even though I haven't been very good about posting on that thread...

Yeah I was not feeling any restriction so I just kept making appointments. My doctor is very good about accomodating his patients needs and believe me I needed those fills!

Diddi,

I think it is amazing that you are teaching yourself english. understand though that some of what we write is "slang" . Slang means they aren't real words but a shortcut for real words. Like "wanna" is really "want to". Don't be discouraged. I , too, have not lost anything in like 2 -3 weeks. I will see my doctor this week, so hopefully I will have my first fill. But you have already lost some great weight. take care and hope to "see" you soon.

I think you can set your computer to write for you in English. Someonr that is computer smart can tell you where to set the language, I believe incomming or out going.

Diddi, you are doing a great job of telling us what you mean. I can understand you completely. We all seem to be stuck with no weight loss for awhile....keep writing....support is so important. I was also banded on February 14....so we are band sisters!!!!!

Thanks, your posts mean a lot too me.

Last week i had 116 kg, and today (after overeating for "Easter weekend") i have 117 kg.:(

I made a decison - no more overeating, no more (not a little bit) of ham, cakes, chocollate, juces etc.

Every day must work out for a least 30 minutes and eat less then 800 kcal daily.

While I agree with the exercise regime; trying to eat less than 800 kcal a day is too extreme. In the long term it's not sustainable and will lead to the eating you're trying to avoid. Try to aim for 1000 kcal; you'll still lose weight. I eat between 900 - 1200 kcal a day and I am losing well despite being unable to exercise yet. I lost 4.5lbs last week and 3lbs so far this week.

Hope all goes well and don't beat yourself up about the slip!

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
