Novagramma 5 Posted June 14, 2013 Greetings!! I am 3.5 weeks post op. Like most of us I struggle to make sure I get my Protein and Water in for the day, but each day it's getting easier. The one thing that is an issue for me is Breakfast. I usually eat some egg whites, low fat string cheese and 1 turkey sausage patty, this morning I had low-fat cottage cheese and a half a pear. For about an hour after I eat, I'm light headed and nauseous. Once that feeling passes the rest of the day is good. I've tried some Protein Plus Special K, but that was even worse, had to lay down. I'm pretty sure that I'm eating slow and not too much, my stomach doesn't feel heavy and I don't have the food backing up. Any suggestions? Thanks! 1 LeahDane reacted to this
LeahDane 3 Posted June 14, 2013 I feel you. I had quite the time with nausea for the first 8 weeks. My nausea and reflux was from a combination of things happening. My stomach was spasming when I put food in it. I was getting lots of liver bile as well. So, Dr. Kemmeter gave me scrips for anti-spasm, nausea, and digestion. Do you feel a clutching in your stomach after meals? Might be spasm. Don't hesitate to call your docs. Might not be. Prayers are with you. Peace, and good luck. How are you doing with Water?
cbd 78 Posted June 14, 2013 Things will get better.....those feelings go away in time. I loved eggs prior to sleeve but now they don't always settle too well. My breakfast every day consists of 1/4 cup cream of wheat with a pad of butter....it holds me till lunch.< /p>
BethinPA 305 Posted June 14, 2013 I had a lot of greek yogurt for breakfast in the beginning, it wasn't as tough to get down. And I like to have a cup of Decaf hot tea every morning - the heat is soothing, and I can get started on my fluids for the day that way.
taylokat 180 Posted June 15, 2013 I usually stick to Protein Shakes for breakfast since I get up at 5am for work.
