buplee 556 Posted June 14, 2013 How far out are you? You'll be able to eat most things but in smaller quantities. Hang in there it gets better. Good luck to you. Sent from my iPad using VST
jhiggy 7 Posted June 14, 2013 I'm 10 days post op. Getting sick of Jello, pudding and cream soup..
buplee 556 Posted June 14, 2013 Trust me it gets better. You're very new and the post- op diet is not easy, but please stick to the program and you'll be happy with the results. One you get to the soft phase this will be a distant memory. When I was in that phase, my wife got some great Soup puréed and strained and that made a big difference in helping me get through it easily. cms213 119 Posted June 14, 2013 Buplee is right once you are on soft foods most things won't look appealing and you won't feel deprived anymore. After surgery I wanted so many different things and all food looked so good but I wasn't hungry and now that I'm on soft foods I'm still not hungry and nothing looks overly that great. Vidalia 122 Posted June 14, 2013 I am 7 months out. Today for lunch I had 2 pieces of French Dragon Roll sushi and a cheese roll with shrimp sauce. For dinner I had 1/2 grilled chicken quesadilla with salsa and a few chips. This is just to give you hope that it does get better! Hang in there! You will be 7 months out before you know it!
