Had my 6 week follow up today. I'm down 28lbs and no longer morbidly obese!! Just curious how much other June 25 sleeved have lost. Hope you all are doing well!

I had my surgery June 24. I have lost 25 pounds since surgery and 41 pounds altogether. I'm hoping to get cleared for exercise tomorrow at my six-week postop appointment. I'm so excited for all of us!!!

Congrats!! That's amazing! I'm down 31lbs since surgery on June 25. This past week I've been at a standstill weight wise. Hard not to get frustrated. I'm having a hard time trying to figure out what foods I can handle.

I keep telling myself that this struggle is going to be worth it. :)

Hope everyone else is doing well!! It's been great to check back in on this thread to see you all so happy. :)

June 25th down 33.6. I don't have alot of cravings. But usually if I want something I'll have it because after 2 or 3 fork fulls I done anyway. Last weekend I really wanted a cheese steak. I got it, gave hubby half ,I ate about 4 forks of the meat and cheese no roll and I was full. Took 2 days to eat half of the sandwich w/o the roll

Sleeved June 25th. Seems like so long ago! Down 51 lbs total and about 30 since surgery. Feeling good, but struggle with eating and getting all my liquids in. No dehydration or other problems at this time :-). Congrats to everyone on their progress so far!

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
