SlimDreams 175 Posted July 10, 2013 That said I run errands and take my kids to the park and stuff. I think I'll start walking on a schedule and start on right like you guys! Running around after munchkins sounds like some pretty purposeful movement to me!! 1 2notbwinded reacted to this
witzend 8 Posted July 10, 2013 Walked with the family last night and dr played my return to the gym for today. Made it through an entire workout. Heading out for a pedicure! Amazing how much better I feel at 2 weeks out:-)
CCRNonherway 78 Posted July 10, 2013 Well here is where I am. Over the last week or so I had been getting progressively weaker. As long as I was sitting or laying down I felt 100% fine. But if I stood up or tried to walk, I only had about 5 mins worth of effort in me. Annoying. After multiple doctor visits and lab draws, he put me in the ER yesterday and ran a bunch of tests. The culprit was that my potassium was low. They gave me some potassium and I feel decidedly better today, the weakness is still there but better. So I guess I need to go get some Powerade or something with electrolytes in it. On the plus side, I got to start my soft foods this week! Started with some Greek yogurt to help with the diarrhea. Then I had some refried Beans and cheese, supplemented with some unflavored Protein Powder. Delicious! Tonight I think it will be an egg and some cheese Down about 14 pounds since surgery. 2 Iamme and 2notbwinded reacted to this
Nursebarbie 392 Posted July 10, 2013 Let me just share with you what my surgeon just told me 30 minutes ago at my first post op appt. I have the same compliants as you... tired not able to choke down the Protein Shakes still having pain not getting enough Water. What he said was in his decades long career as a bariatric surgeon the patients who struggle the most initially end up being the greatest success stories. It gave me hope. I hope it does you too. Hang in there. 3 Kami63, Mocha-NJ and 2notbwinded reacted to this

Kami63 215 Posted July 11, 2013 Yes it is. He also said if it fits inside your wedding ring you can swallow it meaning my pepcid and Vitamins.< /p> Is the Pepcid working for you? I have crazy reflux and was on Pepcid. They had to switch me to omeprazole bc I couldn't sleep at night. Anyone else having bad reflux?
Nursebarbie 392 Posted July 11, 2013 Yes better than prilosec. I'm taking pepcid 20mg (not 10 mg) two times a day. I have no reflux.
Nursebarbie 392 Posted July 11, 2013 You can try prevacid its stronger than prilosec or maybe you just weren't taking a high enough dosage. Usual dose for pepcid is only 10mg daily.
