Dee White 140 Posted June 13, 2013 I would like to no for those who already have the sleeve do you feel fuller faster
kerrysway 46 Posted June 13, 2013 Yes, Yes, Yes, very much so!! It only stands to reason that since your stomach has been reduced to such a tiny size and can only hold just so much that after a few sips or bites you're full. Moreso in the beginning of course, as your stomach relaxes a bit somewhere between 3 & 6 months you're able to eat a little more before feeling full, but mind you we're talking just a few more bites. 1 Dee White reacted to this

jac1970 39 Posted June 13, 2013 Absolutely!! Usually after a few bites. I ate 1/3 of a stuffed cabbage roll the other day and was done. I can eat almost one whole scrambled egg... I had an Upper GI a few days ago, and my stomach is literally the size of a popsicle. Tiny. 1 Dee White reacted to this
LipstickLady 25,682 Posted June 13, 2013 I just ate five canned green Beans and I am stuffed. Is that even trackable? 6 Linkinchik, Dee White, DrmBig4Evr and 3 others reacted to this

kulita 243 Posted June 13, 2013 Um..... YEAH! Let me put it this way, Before surgery I could eat a baked potato, a whole ribeye, roll, and 1/2 cup of broccoli, with a soda. After surgery I could eat maybe 1 beef hot dog with bun and mustard. (We were out and there was nothing else to get that was small) The hot dog was at my max limits.. so I don't eat like that all often. Normally I eat about 1/4-1/2 cup of food per meal. I found out recently that the hot dog that I ate was considered by the FDA to be a "normal" serving of calories for a meal. Weird, right? I made me realize just how much overeating I was actually doing. 2 Dee White and NtvTxn reacted to this
Sydney Susan 333 Posted June 13, 2013 I am 6.5 weeks out and can eat more (before feeling full) than some who have posted here, but it's certainly a fraction of what I could eat before - less than a quarter I'd say. Of course you can graze all day if you want to, drink plonk (or fruit juice or hot choc) almost continuously, and eat liquid foods like runny icecream and creamy Soups, as they go down fairly easily. So discipline is most definately still required! I am not sure I've even had one episode of hunger since the op - occasionally I still think "I'd like that" (or more of that), but that's about enjoying the food, not hunger. I still enjoy food, and occasionally wish I didn't... Hope this helps. 1 Dee White reacted to this

notmeanymore 629 Posted June 13, 2013 I used to be able to put away 2 big macs, large fry, large diet coke and be looking for desert 20 minutes later. Now I can eat about 2 buffalo wings or 2 ounces of chicken or 2 turkey meatballs or 1 scrambled egg. I dont feel deprived, I feel full for sure. 2 Caaattt and Dee White reacted to this
Sydney Susan 333 Posted June 18, 2013 May I ask what a "buffalo wing" is?? The mind boggles at the thought of flying buffulo. 1 Dee White reacted to this
LipstickLady 25,682 Posted June 18, 2013 May I ask what a "buffalo wing" is?? The mind boggles at the thought of flying buffulo. Buffalo wings are chicken wings in a hot sauce mixture. Now guess what I had my preteen believing about which part of the chicken nuggets came from. 5 Molly3, Dee White, Atlgadgetgrrl and 2 others reacted to this
GypsyQueen 198 Posted June 18, 2013 There is a definite difference between the full of pre sleeve to now. Without the elasticity of our stomach, the discomfort of going overboard is much more obvious, immediate and intense. But if you eat slow, a level of satiety can be reached that is still satisfying. 1 Dee White reacted to this
NtvTxn 1,262 Posted June 18, 2013 There is no comparison, and I do NOT want to eat until I'm full, it is uncomfortable, not like being Thanksgiving full prior to surgery...I mean I need to either get up and walk, or lay flat to try and feel a little better. Ugh!!! I make it point to TRY and always under eat my sleeve. Meaning, put less in there than I can actually hold. I am not hungry, so this is easier to do....I weigh or measure my food because I do NOT feel full.....until I've had ONE bite too many!!!! Yikes! 4 notmeanymore, HatheryOnHerWay, thebabycakes and 1 other reacted to this
