8 days out. How many Protein Shakes were you able to get down at 1 week? Today I finished 2. Plus all my Water. Seems like a lot. Don't get me wrong, I'll take it, just seems strange.

Hello. I'm 8 days out also. Today I was horrible with my Fluid intake :( I got to maybe about half of my fluids and one shake. I can do Popsicles all day though. It's the nausea that gets me and it seems like ice or a popsicle is the only thing to stop it. Great job on being able to get to your requirements!

Thanks, I'm just so scared I will stretch something and/or cause a leak. I'm a little paranoid. :(

My first 3 weeks post op I struggled getting 50 gms Protein and at least 32 oz of Fluid each day. I can confirm it takes awhile and don't push yourself too hard. I am 7 weeks out and can now hit my fluid and protein intake markers. My calorie count is around 600-700 per day and I lose about 2 lbs a week. Good luck and keep reading these threads!

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.
