I got rid of a bunch of clothes in the good will but I soon realized I couldn't continue to do this. So I bought a sewing machine on craiglist for $20. Little by little, I am altering everything. No wonder rich people like custom made clothes, they fit perfect. Thanks Mom for teaching me to sew. Even doing the hubby's things.

I have several suits that I'm having altered. Didn't want to donate them because they where $$$. When I took them to the shop, the lady thought that i had just bought them too big, I had to splain to her that at one time, they actually fit. She's also cutting down my whites since they are too expensive to buy new all the time.

I don't think I would try to alter a suit or work clothes but my jeans, shorts and shirts are fair game.
