indecision 863 Posted June 12, 2013 Hello everyone, I was sleeved on April 3rd 2013 and like many of you I have been heavy pretty much my entire life. In High school and early college it was not a huge deal as I played football and I could eat a house and still stay the same weight and as a lineman I needed some "bulk". After football was over for me though I still ate like I was playing and the pounds just packed on one after another. 3ish years ago I started looking at WLS and had to go on the 6 month diet and at that time I was 418 pounds. I proceeded to lose 130 and at the half way mark to that I decided I didn't need the surgery. Fast forward to this year I ended up gaining back till I was at 362 and decided I had enough of the up and down. At the first doc visit I was 362 then day of surgery after the 2 week pre op diet I was at 343. Today I am at 296 for a total of 66 pounds so far. Right now my goal is to get to 240 and then see where I am and decide if I need to lose more or not. The surgery was uneventful for the most part except for the usual uncomfortable feelings that come with it. I have also been lucky in that I have not been sick from anything I have ate and hope it stays that way. 2 neneh_vsg and No game reacted to this
kari61 128 Posted June 12, 2013 My surgery was on April 2nd, I am doing well as well...congrats on your weight loss, that is awesome..I've only lost 38 lbs since surgery but I have a lower BMI so I'm not too bummed about it yet..So far I haven't had any problems with food either and have never thrown up once, luckily..Hopefully by this time next year we will be at goal weight! good luck..
