Dallas area MALE sleevers Group

Recommended Posts

I'm interested in putting together a men's group to meet at least monthly. Nutritional support and just basic guy talk. The local coed groups are fine but I'm seeing and reading more and more guy sleeves who just need that " Band of Brothers" environment. Looking for a place for us to be honest and transparent, but intentional in our struggles as well as victories. I live in the Frisco area but am willing to travel (within reason). I am willing to bet we could get a NUT to join us as well. My preference is during the week after work. Weekends are difficult due to family time. Thoughts?

Hi. I'm up for a Dallas area support group. I'm down to just needing my primary care to write the approval letter then I wait for insurance approval. I was told I'm looking at early August for my procedure.

Ok. Hang tight and we'll see what kind of response we get. So far it's just the two of us. :-)

I am in the Wylie area and would like to join in on this group for sure! I am also willing to travel (within reason) as well. Evenings during the week are best for me as weekends can get hectic.

I would be interested as well. I'm hoping to get my final approval from insurance in the next couple of weeks. I'm both excited and nervous.

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Anyone had the TORe procedure? How did it go? How much weight did you loose?

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Your so close now! It's gonna be great :) Wishing you a speedy recovery and looking forward to seeing how it goes!

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
