finleyd 1 Posted June 12, 2013 I am going to be 56 when I have my sleeve. Has anyone out there been around my age? How did you do. do you think it was harder because you were a little older. I am so nervous yet so excited at the same time. 1 Jeanie S reacted to this
johnlatte 1,232 Posted June 12, 2013 I'm 54, I will be 55 in August. I don't think I've had any harder time due to my advanced age. I've had zero complications. My weightloss has been slower than some, but I really don't have a lot of problems with that. My goal was to get off all the drugs I was taking, and I am almost there. Good luck, with your surgery. Let me know if you have any questions. 1 Jeanie S reacted to this

ProudGrammy 8,322 Posted June 12, 2013 56 when I have my sleeve. finleyd i turned 58 one month after surgery (don't tell anyone ) not knowing/experiencing what "younguns" went through losing their weight - i can't compare situations...(young & older).... but i can say i had a great surgery, recovery and continue to be successful age "might" be a factor in the equation................knee, orthopedic problems but someone who is 23 can and does have similar problems i think i have turned into a spring chicken and am now 59 years YOUNG neither age or "size" matters good luck kathy 1 JerseyGirl68 reacted to this
