My friend and I were talking & she asked me how much I've lost ... I told her I didn't have a scale so she asked me to get on hers....

I've lost 25lbs already!! I'm only 7 days post op!!

Physically I feel great! Energy is returning!

I only lost 9 lbs. my first week but I still felt like Holy Crap!!! Because... I am no longer a Diabetic, nor do I have high cholesterol and they want me to discontinue my Blood Pressure meds. Due to it being too low!!! That is amazing to me!!! All in one week!!

I am 6weeks out and have lost 46lbs so far. Would like to lose 50 by the time I go back to work at the beginning of July. My kids say I look like I lost more. I guess it is inches . I have a lot more energy but then have I have some what feels like B/p drop ehen I get out of bed. I need to see my regular doctor about this and oral meds foe type II. I have tried to take them but had several episodes of bs dropped and feeling like crap. Will call in am.

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Anyone had the TORe procedure? How did it go? How much weight did you loose?

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
