Yup, that would be him: tall, good lookin' and a beer drinker....:girl_hug: *Heh heh* Because of the beer we had to go home in a taxi. The cabby drove the way cabbies do, breaking suddenly, accelerating, and weaving in and out of traffic. It was not a calm ride. I was so stoned from the wonderful drugs that I was flopping about and by the time we got home I was bleeding profusely. It was a helluva day!:omg: :phanvan

That night he was like a mother hen with her chick, however..... And I was so stoned that I was kinda relaxed about the situation.

It's okay, Cloe, you can laugh. :)

Thanks for sharing. I have to tell you that there were certain bits of information about the band that I withheld from my mate. I never told him about sliming and the PBs. I figured that the $16Gs and the operation would be shock enough. :speechles

And if any of you remember my earliest posts, the dude did spend the time while I was being operated on drinking big beers at a nearby restaurant. Such was dh's stress! :tired

Anyhow, I only came clean about the PB problem on the drive home from his parents' house after my first ever PB. He was kinda fascinated and has been talking about them ever since. Seems that they are up there with farts, eh. Men are so gross. And Green is so amused! :( (Sometimes she suspects that she is part woman, part frat boy............:faint: )

LMAO I hear ya girlfriend...16g almost floored my hubby, he got past it but I think I'll keep this pbing thing to myself...not banded yet hopefully soon

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
