Kat1 24 Posted June 11, 2013 A big hello to all. First of all I must apologize for not being on the forum in months. Some of you might remember my journey began over a year ago and today is my 1 year anniversary of my surgery. To sum it up I am doing great! I have lost a total of 90 pounds and still have 20 more to go. I am disappointed that I did not reach my goal within a year but it is my fault. Take note to everyone you can never go back to eating the junk we ate before our surgery. When they say it is a lifestyle change they mean it. Old habits started to creep back in and it has been a battle. Also, don' do what I did and not get onto the forum site. I think my problems started when I stopped reading what was happening to others. But I do apologize to my friends and will stay in touch. Some of you might remember I was one of the few who had a bad experience with my surgery, but to put it honestly, I would do it over again if I had to just to be who I am today. I will try to post a picture of me but I am not computer savvy lol. Until later God Bless you and hopefully I will hear from some of my old and dear friends. 4 Success2013, eclipse, FeeIsMe2 and 1 other reacted to this
Allan Cameron 98 Posted June 12, 2013 We all learn, and sometimes some of us only learn from mistakes. Sharing our own mistakes with others helps them to make decisions that hopefully will avoid our mistakes, though regrettably many of us must learn by doing even if doing is not good for us...thus I am here as you were a year ago beginning this journey into my new lifestyle. 1 Brenda0928 reacted to this

Holly5.3 423 Posted June 23, 2013 Happy anniversary! You look gorgeous! Nothing worth having in life is easy! I too have my struggles withy sleeve (9 months post op), but I cod never have made it this far without the surgery! I too struggle with weight loss expectations, but I'm learning to not be so hard on myself. Self-hatred allowed me to rationalize eating myself to death. Now I too am busy living life. I haven't found much support in recent months for my posts, so I try not to post too often. I feel chatty today! Keep up the good work! You'll make your goal. Be patient! It's not a matter of 'if' you do -- but 'when'! So be kind to yourself! 3 Allan Cameron, Brenda0928 and Poseyrosey reacted to this
