Laura-ven... of course I do! The majority of people on here make me laugh' date=' smile and give out great information. It's just a few that I have read on here that seem like they are looking to argue. I do not see you as one of those people! By the way - I have never been a spitter, always a swallower! LMAO!!! ;)[/quote']

There is a whole post about this too! I have learned SOOOOO much on the website! :D

No way in Hell I'd step on the scale for 3 days after! Ha! I might have been born at night but it wasn't last night!

Avoidance and denial. I'm a pro.

Ya know, I almost made a smart ass comment on that one too but figured I'd best not.

I'm glad someone else has as warped sense of humor as me. :P

I like you! :)

I think alot of the people on here had their brain in the part of the stomach that was removed.

Not to seem confrontational; but I believe their brain is still in their head but their head is up their asss!

Either way it can be cotributed to lack of oxygen and use of the brain. I will make smart asss coments to anyone weather they know me or not. It has changed since I lost weight I am not as intimidating as I use to be now I have to use my brain instead of size.

Well, thank you! I'm fond of me too. Oh yes, you too!

I seriously took that other thread idea to work (I'm a nurse, so it was sort of a little appropriate) and asked a couple of my nurse friends, and a very sweet, and easy to blush male Nurse practitioner.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
