If you are having chest pain that radiates to your left arm you need to call 911.

Constant pain is not normal, in my opinion. Call your doctor and/or go to the ER. Better to be safe than sorry. Good luck and be well.

Call 911 - it's better to be embarrassed by a false alarm - than not call and be fighting for your life!

So I called the surgeon and they told me to go the ER :-( guess its better to be safe then sorry. Hope it's nothing and they don't have to keep me.

I'm going to guess they are looking for a leak. Of course, how long ago were you sleeved? It could also be pain from the gas post surgery if you were sleeved recently.

I hope everything is ok! Keep us posted!

The blood work back and something was high suggesting it might be a blood clot so they are going to do a cat scan to make sure it's not

I have the same pain in same location. They found I have a hematoma from surgery. Nothing the can do but give u antibiotics to prevent infection. The hema is between my pancreas and stomach but causes most discomfort in my chest radiating to left arm. It sucks!

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.

I would like to know what questions you wish you had asked prior to your duodenal switch surgery?
