AutismMom 92 Posted June 10, 2013 That makes me nervous. But I totally get what you're saying.
Lissa 2,631 Posted June 10, 2013 I see no problem with someone else's before being my after pic. I started at 352 and I'm holding steady at about 120 pounds lost. I've seen "lightweight" sleevers who started at 230 and lost down to the low 100's, but that's not my reality or my goal. I think each of us looks for their own ideal body image. I'm very very close to mine. My original goal was 170; surgeon's goal was 190. I'm comfortable where I am, though, and, while I'm still trying to eat right and I'm exercising, my goal now isn't the number. It's the health benefit and how comfy I am in the body I'm ROCKING these days. 5 Sharonisshrinking, M2G, tigerbelle and 2 others reacted to this

Sharonisshrinking 82 Posted June 12, 2013 Yes. My point in saying this was to remind people that we all have different goals. We all start at different places and end at different places. There is no magic number. Mine might be much higher or lower than yours, but it is right and realistic for me. ???? 1 Lissa reacted to this
playlikeworldchamps 595 Posted June 15, 2013 so true. I hope to get to 187 but 214 is the lowest I've been in 20 years and 187 seems a dream. "normal BMI" for me is 173 and I was last there 23 years ago. I can't even imagine. if I can get to 208 I'll be merely "overweight". some people start not much higher. but I am tall so I rationalize it that way ( 5-10) my highest was
AutismMom 92 Posted June 15, 2013 I'm 5'10" as we'll... 10 BMI points to goal! Surgery is Monday! I'm trying to get past 230. :/ I'm stuck at 232.
