beachgirl 2 Posted December 25, 2006 Every year at Christmas just like everyone else we have the same things. Tonight after not eating anything all day except for ceral I went to my Mom and Dad's for our annual Christmas Eve dinner. There was Turkey, dressing, ham, sweet potatoes, corn, mashed potatoes, vegall casserole, mac and cheese, greenbeans, slaw, hasbrown casserole, pies, cakes, puddings, salads, everything, and since this is my first Christmas with my band this is what I ate: 1 small piece of ham 1 bite of vegall casserole 1/2 piece of chocolate pie I could have never done this before but just wasn't hungry. I thank God for my band.
ser123 0 Posted December 25, 2006 I hope that next year I am saying the same thing... less than 2 weeks before I am banded.
deckedout 0 Posted December 25, 2006 Sherrie, I actually had the same thing happen only with prime rib. I really love it medum rare, but my band didn't like it. sio, I got a small piece of it cooked well, and a half a twiced baked potoate ond some salald. It some cases a victory, but at othe times it feel like a burdon. I had to "get rid of" a blockage at the beginning of dinner, evendantally I hadnt chewed enoughm but I was able to eat later. Kareoke was lots of fun. Really, more fun than eatin a lot of food would be. Plus, now we have enougt left overs to las a week at least!
transformer 1 Posted December 26, 2006 Good for you! That's quite an accomplishment--at a holiday dinner, no less!
ReneBean 3 Posted December 26, 2006 I had an NSV of sorts... went to my sisters for dinner. I had what to ME was a huge amount of food - a nearly full plate. I looked over at my Sister when she sat down and her plate was HEAPED with food - I mean stuff sliding off the plate full. I guess I had a pretty horrified expression - cause DS started justifying the food. I just laughed and said there was NO WAY I could eat that much. I couldn't even come close to finishing my nearly full plate. It just goes to show how our perceptions change. Last year I was right there with my Sis and that heaped plate. :]
