I don't care for sweets too much so I'll pass on the White Russian. I will take a Bloody Mary with blue cheese stuffed olives if you are buying.

My offer to give you my period still stands. I'll even pay shipping.

Keep your darned period! I've been there, done that!

I saw that Krispy Kreme made a sloppy Joe between 2 glazed donuts. I don't think I could even stomach that!

I saw that yesterday on tv too! I couldn't believe it! I thought - that's a heart attack on a plate!

Those comments offended me directly since I am one of those who did what she found so offensive. She said no one gave a "rat's rear end" about what people like me had to say. With that in mind' date=' I feel the same way about her opinion of this thread.[/quote']

I'm not judging. Only observing and commenting. It's human nature to want to give as good as you get or at least respond to insults.

Then I guess I would ask why you felt the need to name names? If you are not judging, what is your point, exactly, knowing that it's human nature to respond to insults?

OK, after reading this whole thread, I need to add my 2 cents.

Lipstick- You actually can buy "Twinkies" again, though they are packaged under Little Debbie as a cloud cake or some such nonsense.

Re: the cool table- Oh PLEASE let me sit here! I'm fun once you get to know me.

Re: the donut/ sloppy Joe. I don't think I could handle that at all! Sleeve/ no sleeve/ esophagus/ no esophagus! LOL

Re: jager bombs in the recovery room. Let's do it. My biggest fear is how terrible I will feel in the recovery room. Let's just cover it with alcohol baby!

That may be all. :)

Ok fun over. Im going to burst the bubble. This is a catty thread... Clever and sly clues is an example of cattiness.

Well, actually, it does seems like your judgment of what you felt were catty comments prompted the response you gave...you could have offered anyone who was confused/frustrated the opportunity to PM you if they were interested in your take on who was the subject of many of the comments, w/o posting something that many had taken great effort (whether you agreed with approach or not) to NOT post.

Further, I think that many of the posters acknowledged and moved on from the 'cattiness' you referred to, and the topic changed from "specific" to "general"

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
