I would think they would be gone by then if you use scar cream...maybe I'm naiive but im 2.5 weeks out and the incisions are almost gone and I may begin to use scar cream so those will be gone soon.

it takes about a year for scars to fade. Your stomach gets pulled down and scar lowers but does not go away, ofcouse depends on how much skin you have.

Scars and stretch marks that are above your belly button do not ever go away. Usually the Dr cuts from the navel down all away, creates a new navel, and pulls the top down to tighten. As well most tummy tucks also include the under muscles being tightened! But no - what is there above your navel then becomes your whole tummy. :-)

but if you make the necessary precautions you can prevent scaring all together. One of my incisions (above the belly button) is all the way healed completely and you can no longer see it. And I'm only 2.5 weeks out.

I had a corset trunkplasty 2 weeks ago because I lost over 150 pounds & needed skin removed from the upper, middle & lower stomach. Its a more extensive scar than the Tummy Tuck scar. (It goes under both breasts, straight down my belly & hip to hip) However the super tiny scars from my sleeve and 1/2 my stretch marks are now gone. Lol.

Not on everyone. Every person is different. Every single woman has different skin.

Yes my lower ones nearer to my navel were either light or cut off with my MMO- but one single one that was right beneath my breast stayed. But it's okay :-) I'm fine with it- it's moved down now after my Tummy Tuck - and I'm 5 weeks out today from it- and my entire hip to hip and double anchor breast incisions are completely healed and almost not visible- so I think it depends on where the scars are at on our bodies also :-)

I had my gullblader removed about 14 years ago. And those r gone u cannt even c those. So I'm hoping my wls ones will do the same. And my strech marks ar all on my gut below my belly button. So I hope most of those go with a tt.

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.
