So how does one lose almost two pounds in about an hour? The non glamorous way of course! Thank you to suppositories, I am not full of crap anymore. I have been having horrible Constipation over the last week. Haven't had a bm for six days. Finally gave up and ran to walgreens to get the suppository and it worked, thank god. I guess benefiber is going to be in my daily routine.

What finally worked was the dulcolax suppository. I was taking peri colace for several days, but it didn't help. I hope it gets better for you. I know it sucks!

Is this something you should do on a day off from work? Never had this issue as I was having normal bm for the first week and 1/2 post op but I also haven't gone in about 5 days so ill probably try this. I'm afraid it will hurt lol

I did it today at like 5pm and had my bm by 6. My guts are cramping still, but not as bad as earlier. I would definitely do it when you're home and near a toilet and have lots of time. I used it as a last resort because I had so much discomfort.

Don't wait to long without going for a bm. I know from experience it can cause you a lot of pain. If I don't go in two days I take something. Last month I lost 5lbs once I finally went and it took me a couple days to finally get rid of all of it. The stool can become impacted and then there's trouble. Good luck girls.

If you don't want all the cramping my post op instructions were to use milk of magnesia as directed

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
