I know the fast is 500 calories 2 days a week with 12 hours between the meals.

I was so busy today that I barely ate anything! 1 shake this morning (out of yogurt:() 1 string cheese for lunch and 1 turkey party with cheese for dinner! I need to pack some more in :P

That sounds like a regular day to me! Well except for the 12 hours part. A lot of lazy days I just do 3 Premier Protein shakes in a day, that makes my day below 500 cals and 90 Protein. Works well for me, I don't mind a liquid diet. I find getting enough protein without shakes to be a serious chore.

I had a good experience with my doc in Mexico as well. I was totally scared at one point and after reading different sites I eventually changed surgeons. I haven't posted my complete experience because I'm afraid some will look at it as advertisement or that I'll break the rules. I've lost 39 pounds and am five weeks out. I'm sure many will find your post encouraging and informative. Thanks for sharing and good luck on your journey !!! Keep me posted, love to know how everything is going. I really enjoy this site, asking and reading questions. I definitely don't want to offend anyone - and I don't think you meant to break any rules either. :-(. Once again, congrats on your decision.

Denn.... congrats on your 39 pounds!!!!!! I'm down by 24 pounds in about 3 weeks. I have hit a few stalls , nothing major though, just a 3-4 day ones. I hit "Onederland" last week I was so excited and now I'm sitting at 194. Been there for 3 days. Apparently the 180's are trying to hide from me. Lol I'm sorry you feel like you can't post your journey. But I do understand. You see what happened when I posted mine.. anyways good luck to you!!! Maybe you can private message your journey. I would love to hear it!!

Hi everyone! I’m brand new here. I just went through all my pre-op requirements per my insurance company and now everything has been submitted and I’m just waiting for final approval and my surgery date. I’ve been doing research, watching YouTube videos, TikTok’s, ect.. trying to prepare my mind and what to expect so I’ll be ready for the surgery. I was so sure and so set and so ready and excited. However, now that I’ve done everything & it’s almost here, I am sooooooo scared! I know why I want it bc I’ve tried everything and I just don’t feel like I can lose weight by myself. I’m tired of being overweight my entire life. I’m miserable, but I keep psyching myself out afraid of GERD bc I know how that can be and I don’t want to have to get a bypass after already gaining the courage to even get VSG. I’m scared of complications like I’mgoing to regret doing it and be depressed that I didn’t just be more disciplined and try again to lose the weight on my own even sitting here typing this knowing in my mind i just can’t and don’t possess the discipline. I’m also afraid I won’t be able to handle the restrictions of the sleeve. What do I eat? I don’t know how to eat healthy really and don’t enjoy healthy food. I don’t know how to do this! I feel so defeated!Someone tell me they felt anything similar to this or am I not ready? I thought I was. I am so tired of being sick and tired and so tired of myself and so tired of being stuck and stuck in this body and somebody different on the outside from what I feel inside. I just want to ball up and cry.

The 14th was my day. I am home and recovery is going pretty smooth. They even let me walk out of the hospital. Picture of me in recovery curtesy of my boyfriend lol.

Neat you have a pic of this day! I was sooo happy to get my surgery. It was well worth it! And I'm not even near my goal. I had surgery Dec. 2!
