I was sleeved 5/28 and am really struggling. I had my Lapband taken out at the time of procedure. I am working on Fluid intake and walking as much as I can but I have constant nausea. I'm on clear fluids until Tuesday and I'm hoping after then I will be able to get stronger every day. Right now the pain is mostly gone but I am in severe nausea and that is almost worse. Is Dramimine ok to take? Repeated calls to my physician went unanswered and unreturned.

I was sleeved on 5/28. Still have issues getting Water and Protein down.

No more nausea. Except for certain smells make me feel yucky

I was sleeved 5/28 and start soft foods on tuesday. Did they prescribe you any anti nausea meds? I came home with some that would need to be crushed but haven't felt like taking them.

I'm just now able to take in more fluids I'm shooting for my 11oz Protein drink and about 40oz of Water.

My sleeve was on 5/23 and I have moved on to soft food already. It's going well, but I have had some bumps in the road. The chewable Vitamins were making me sick, moved on to liquids. I couldn't tolerate the Bariatric Advantage shakes either, switched to Pure Protein and those are better for me.

Talk to your Doc or the nutritionist at their office, they can give you some options. If they don't return calls, keep calling or just show up at their office - they should be providing follow up care for you!

I was sleeved 5/28 but no issues with nausea. Dramamine is probably NOT okay to take but there is a drug people here have taken for it. I recommend starting another thread with a title of "Please help with nausea"or something like that and I think that will get you more attention than this thread.

Your doctor took responsibility for aftercare by doing this surgery, don't hesitate to keep nagging them until they respond.

I was sleeved on 5/28 and I am getting all my fluids 3 Protein Shakes and my Water. I am however very sore, tired and weak feeling. My band had to be bigger ( I can hold 3 oz instead of 2) due to scar tissue from my band remove 2 years ago. Nausea? My dr gave me zig ran tablets that melt in your tongue.

Hi everyone! I’m brand new here. I just went through all my pre-op requirements per my insurance company and now everything has been submitted and I’m just waiting for final approval and my surgery date. I’ve been doing research, watching YouTube videos, TikTok’s, ect.. trying to prepare my mind and what to expect so I’ll be ready for the surgery. I was so sure and so set and so ready and excited. However, now that I’ve done everything & it’s almost here, I am sooooooo scared! I know why I want it bc I’ve tried everything and I just don’t feel like I can lose weight by myself. I’m tired of being overweight my entire life. I’m miserable, but I keep psyching myself out afraid of GERD bc I know how that can be and I don’t want to have to get a bypass after already gaining the courage to even get VSG. I’m scared of complications like I’mgoing to regret doing it and be depressed that I didn’t just be more disciplined and try again to lose the weight on my own even sitting here typing this knowing in my mind i just can’t and don’t possess the discipline. I’m also afraid I won’t be able to handle the restrictions of the sleeve. What do I eat? I don’t know how to eat healthy really and don’t enjoy healthy food. I don’t know how to do this! I feel so defeated!Someone tell me they felt anything similar to this or am I not ready? I thought I was. I am so tired of being sick and tired and so tired of myself and so tired of being stuck and stuck in this body and somebody different on the outside from what I feel inside. I just want to ball up and cry.

The 14th was my day. I am home and recovery is going pretty smooth. They even let me walk out of the hospital. Picture of me in recovery curtesy of my boyfriend lol.

Neat you have a pic of this day! I was sooo happy to get my surgery. It was well worth it! And I'm not even near my goal. I had surgery Dec. 2!
