Band to sleeve 4/30 and down almost 30. I have had problems keeping all fluids in which keeps me lethargic / loss of concentration. Serious problems walking d/t knee surgery but have a club membership. Can anyone tell me where to begin a work out ? any instructions on what activities I can do will be appreciated.

Really need to work on those chicken wings and the rolling belly. I figuered out how to ride a bike : raise the handle bars and set as far up as you can so that you all almost keeping your leg staight with just a little bend.

I also have knee issues but I also get bored on the bike.weight lifting..the people at your gym should be able to help you. mine has lots of charts and magazines around. don't be afraid to ask some of the other members who are using the hand weights for some help..I know some women are nervous or intimadated. But I have always figured we are all there for the same reason..to get healthy. There are also isometric exercises you can do for your mid section..worth checking out. if you an afford it your gym might have some of the instructors who do personal training. Might help to buy a few sessions.

How about Water aerobics? If you have a YMCA nearby, they usually have a great variety of water classes. Would be a good start until you've lost enough weight to move to land based classes/activities.

Do you have cable? On demand has some really great easy programs. I also gave a Wii....I intend to start my workout there.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
